Day 3: We Will Become Silhouettes | InkTober

The lyrics of this song are pretty post-apocalyptic and made me think of I am Legend specifically. Also, the word “will” is in the title and this is Will Smith.

Okay, I know I’m reaching on the last point, but the I am Legend point stands. Take a look at these lyrics:

“I’ve got a cupboard with cans of food
Filtered water and pictures of you
And I’m not coming out until this is all over

And I’m looking through the glass
Where the light bends at the cracks
And I’m screaming at the top of my lungs
Pretending the echoes belong to someone
Someone I used to know”

It was this or a spooky broken city with Will as a silhouette. When given the choice between drawing things or people, I always choose people. Hopefully I’ll get better at putting them in ink. Still batting with the lighting thing, but this particular pose (taken from a movie promo poster) was especially difficult so I’ll cut myself some slack and aim for better tomorrow .
